The 10G SFP+ DAC cable is based on the SFP+ MSA (multi-source agreement) using a cheap twin-core copper cable assembly. Both ends have copper interconnects with SFP+ connectors. It has the characteristics of low cost, flexible wiring, and strong operability. With a transmission distance of up to 10 meters, the 10G SFP+ DAC cable meets the demanding requirements of today’s data center environment.

The SFP+ passive cable assembly is an upgraded version of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) interconnects up to 10Gbps. The system complies with SFF (SFF-8431 and SFF-8432) specifications and supports 8G Fibre Channel, 10G Ethernet, InfiniBand™ standards and Ethernet Network Fibre Channel (FCoE) applications. Compared with fiber optic cable assemblies, SFP+ direct-attached copper cables provide a cost-effective solution for short-distance interconnection applications in data centers.
